Chairman Council of Islamic Idealogy (CII) Maulana Muhammad Khan Sheerani on Wednesday said council recommended new amended computerized Nikkah form for facilitating masses. Addressing a press conference after the 199th meeting of Council of Islamic Idealogy, he said letters should be issued to concerned ministries for setting up new computerized Nikkah form according to the recommendations of the council.
He claimed that courts are dissolving `Nikkah' on name of `Khula' which is not correct. He said courts can dissolve marriage contracts but not on the name of `Khula' as it is the prerogative of husbands. He said the holy Quran has specific language which should be understood properly in Arabic only.
He further said eunuchs are also part of society and rather than segregating them, they should be considered part of the family. "Their male and female genetic analysis to be done and has been given a status accordingly," he said. Chairman CII said that decisions on the burial of dead bodies used in medical colleges should be discussed according to moral ethics of national and international code of conduct and for the purpose representatives of Pakistan Medical and Dental Associations to be called in the next meeting. Later, Samiha Raheel Qazi stated that the number of reserved seats for women in National Assembly should be in accordance with the number of votes received by a party and not on the basis of number of its seats.
