PINS emergency ward to become operational in June

The Punjab Institute of Neuro Sciences will activate its Emergency Ward next month though it has completed the work on the third phase of development project in the Lahore General Hospital having 18 operation theatres equipped with modern facilities, ICU and private rooms. Board of Management of Post Graduate Medical Institute Chairman Zia Uddin Khawaja claimed on Thursday that facility of mortuary would be available after the establishment of Forensic department and the hospital would be only the third hospital in the city having this capacity.
He said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has provided funds worth billions of rupees to make hospital a state-of-the-art health institute.
