The ARY Channel has tendered an apology to the Prime Minister's Advisor on Aviation Shujaat Azim for false allegations levelled by its anchorperson Mubashar Luqman against him in his programme 'Khara Sach' broadcast on February 5 and 19, 2015. In one allegation, the anchorperson had said an aircraft of the PIA was allegedly sold to the Advisor's daughter. Other such allegations related to the murder of Rafiq Hariri, the Prime Minister of Lebanon, and the accident faced by the plane of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
In its letter of apology to Shujaat Azim, ARY said allegations of its anchorperson in the programme Khara Sach were not true. This is not for the first time the ARY administration has extended its apology. The text of the apology letter (attached) tendered by ARY is as follows:
"Humare 5 aur 19 February 2015 kay programme Khara Such main program anchor Mubasher Lucman nay janab Shujaat Azeem kay hawalay say kuch batain kin. Yeh batain janab Shujaat Azeem ki beti ki mubayana company ko PIA ka Jahaz bechne, aur Lebanon kay marhoom wazir e azam Rafiq Hariri ki halakat, aur prime minister Nawaz Sharif kay hawai Jahaz kay accident me bach jane ke bare me ki gai thi. Hamari mazeed itlaat ke mutabiq jo batain Mubasher Lucman na kahe wo batain sahi nai thi, jis ke liye hum janab Shujat Azeem sey mazarrat khwa hain."-PR
