Over Rs 5.4 billion budget for UAF approved

The Finance and Planning Committee has approved University of Agriculture Faisalabad budget proposal of over Rs 5.4 billion for the financial year 2015-16. The meeting, which was chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan, approved the budget estimates of non-development worth Rs 3.5 billion; development budget worth 1826 million (Rs 923 million from the federal government and Rs 902 million from the Punjab government respectively).
The budget was presented by treasurer Umar Saeed. The meeting also approved a soft loan scheme for the UAF employees and construction of executive hostel as well as community hall. Naeem Khalid, Deputy Secretary, Planning Agriculture Department; Noorul Ain Fatima, Deputy Secretary, Finance Department; UAF Registrar Chaudhry Muhammad Hussain, Executive Director Endowment Fund Dr Zahir Ahmad Zahir and other notables were present.
