Education Department Shikarpur: NAB files reference against officials

A reference was filed by NAB Karachi against the officials of Education Department Shikarpur and officials of DAO Shikarpur on the allegation of embezzlement of 46.949 million rupees through preparation of bogus fund claims. The reference No 1/2015 is under trial at AC Hyderabad against 18 accused persons out of whom three accused persons namely Noor Jehan Mangi, former ADOE Ghari Yasin, Mumtaz Ali Kalhoro, former ADOE Lakhi, and Munir Ahmed Sailro, private person were granted interim bail by the Sindh High Court which was later on cancelled.
Upon which the accused persons preferred to file their applications before Supreme Court of Pakistan - Karachi Registry. The same were dismissed on June 10, 2015. Consequently, all three were arrested by NAB Karachi. The liability against the above three accused amounts to 13.716 million rupees.-PR
