Balochistan PA bodies: Chairmen, chairpersons nominated

The allies parties in the provincial coalition government have reached consensus on names of chairmen and chairpersons of standing committees of Balochistan Assembly. Officials in the Assembly secretariat said, on Wednesday that a meeting was held with Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch in chair at Acting Speaker Chamber in the Balochistan Assembly.
It was attended by Acting Speaker, Mir Abdul Qudus Bezinjo, Senior Provincial Minister and Parliamentary leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri, Minister and Parliamentary leader of Pashtoonkhawa Milli Awami Party, Abdul Raheem Ziaratwal and Minister and Parliamentary leader of PML-Q, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhel.
The meeting reached consensus on names nominated for chairmen and chairpersons of 17 standing committees of the Balochistan Assembly, respectively. It was decided that Majid Khan Achakzai of PkMAP will be chairmen of Public Accounts Committee while Chairman of Rules of Procedures Committee will be taken from PML-N. Syed Agha Raza will head Government Assurance Standing Committee.
Haji Muhammad Islam will be chairmen of Planning and Development Committee. Manzoor Kakar will be chairmen of Housing, Planning, Roads and Buildings Committee. Standing Committee on Information, Sports, Culture, Tourism, Heritage, Museum and Library will be headed by Kishor Jatak while Ghan Sham will be Chairman of Standing Committee on Social Welfare, Women Development, Zakaat and Ushar, Hajj and Auqaf and Minorities.Syed Liaquat Ali Agha will be chairman of Standing Committee on Home and Tribal Affairs and Provincial Disaster Management Authority. Miss Rahila Durrani will head the Standing Committee on Quality Education, Presidential Program CDWA, Science and Information Technology.The Chairmen of standing committees on Local Government, Balochistan Development Authority, Gwadar Development Authority, Balochistan Coastal Development Authority, Urban Planning, Public Health Engineering, WASA and Quetta Water Supply Project will be taken from the Opposition benches. Yasmin Lehri will be Chairperson of Standing Committee on Irrigation, Energy, Environment, Forests and Wildlife. Standing Committee on Agriculture and Co-operative Society, Livestock and Dairy Development, Fisheries and Food will be headed by Nasrullah Khan Zeeray Mir Aamir Rind will be Chairman of Standing Committee on Finance, Excise and Taxation, Board of Revenue and Transport and Sardar Dur Muhammad Nasir will be Chairman of Standing Committee on Industries, Mines and Minerals, Labour and Manpower.William Barkat will be Chairman of Standing Committee on S& GAD, Inter-Provincial Co-ordination, Law and Prosecution and Human Rights. Dr Ruqayia Saeed Hashmi will head the Standing Committee on Health and Family Planning. Acting Speaker will soon summon the meeting of the standing committee to finalise the name of chairmen and chairpersons.
