-President, Tri-Party Alliance and general secretary ANP, Mian Iftikhar Hussain after declaring the strike of alliance as successful gave a call for staging a big rally in Peshawar on June 16, 2015. The rally will be addressed by all central leaders of the allied political parties.
Addressing a press conference along with leaders of the component political parties of the alliance, he said that the KP govt through police pressurised trading community during the night and forced them for opening of businesses on assurance of protection to them while a strategy to deal with opposition was also evolved.
Mian Iftikhar said that the workers of the Tri-Party Alliance of ANP, PPP and JUI-F remained completely peaceful. However, in some places the blue-eyed shopkeepers of PTI attempted to provoke the procession of opposition parties, which resulted in scuffle rendering the central secretary finance of ANP, Arbab Mohammad Tahir Khalil injured, while police was asked to take footage of unpleasant incidents. He said that an allegedly FIR has also been registered against him and former Senator Haji Ghulam Ali.
He paid tributes to all workers of the alliance, which participated in the peaceful protest. However, he strongly condemned the attitude of KP govt. He made it clear that the protest of opposition will continue in any circumstances as their morale is high and will not retreat from their stance.
