It is with great pleasure that I extend my best wishes to the people of Russia and Pakistan on this auspicious day - the National Day of Russia. Russia and Pakistan share friendly relations which are decades old. Russia has always extended co-operation to Pakistan in economic development as well as help in the industrialization of Pakistan.
A number of major industrial complexes have been built with Russian help and financial assistance. Trade ties have been growing between the two countries and we look forward to increase in the volume of trade between the countries. The Russian Government and people attach great importance to economic and industrial co-operation between the two friendly countries. Russia is helping out Pakistan to enhance its economic and trade objectives. Russian companies are more than willing to render service in the fields of energy, mineral exploration, building of underground storage facilities and exploration of oil and gas field. Russia and Pakistan share similar opinions on a number of key global issues and work for the resolution of such issues by working together. Of particular mention is the growing co-operation between the port cities of Russia and Pakistan. The present state of relations between Russia and Pakistan reflects encouraging trend for the improvement of ties economic, industrial and cultural. Pakistan has best relations with the regional player Russia. Russia is the largest player of subcontinent and trustworthy friend.
