At least seven people died and 12 others were injured in collision between a van and a dumper here on Sunday. Rescue sources said that a Chakwal bound passenger van coming from Mianwali, collided head-on with an over speeding dumper carrying construction material at Chakwal Road in Talagang. Four people died on the spot in the accident while 15 sustained critical wounds. The bodies and injured were shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, Chakwal, where three more succumbed to their wounds raising death toll to seven.
According to hospital sources condition of some more wounded people was serious and it was feared that death toll could increase further.
