Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan said that tribal people have played a pivotal role in maintaining peace and prosperity for their country. "Operation Zarb-e-Azb has entered its final phase and hideouts of terrorists have been destroyed from North Waziristan Agency," he added.
He said that in order to promote education among the people of Waziristan, Cadet College Razmak from Nowshehra will be shifted back to Razmak, North Waziristan Agency. The Governor vowed repatriation of TDPs will be without any kind of discrimination". He expressed these views in a Grand Jirga of Utmanzai Tribe of North Waziristan Agency at Governor's House Peshawar, which called on him here under the leadership of Muhammad Nazir, MNA from North Waziristan Agency on Thursday. The Jirga was comprised tribal elders, Ulema and tribal youth.
The Governor said that his visit towards Razmak Cadet College North Waziristan Agency aimed to shift Razamk Cadet College from Nowshera back to North Waziristan Agency, ultimately "paving way for the progress of education for people of the Fata. He has also announced 10 Crore rupees for the reconstruction of Razmak Cadet College at North Waziristan.
It is to mention here that Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmad Khan visited Razmak Tehsil of North Waziristan Agency and addressed a tribal jirga there a day before. Political Agent of the Agency Atif-ur-Rehman and other officials were also present on the occasion. He also visited various parts of the Cadet College Razmak and directed the authorities concerned to expedite the reconstruction of the college. The elders apprised the governor of the problems and difficulties the people of the area had been facing.
The Governor Sardar Mahtab Ahmed Khan said that after complete repatriation of Eidak Tribe, the process of repatriation will be expedited and for the rehabilitation of the damage infrastructure concrete steps would be taken. Appreciating the spirit of the tribal elders, the Governor said, while ensuring well-being of the tribal people and enabling them to play a significant role in the nation-building process, it will always his top most priority and he will spare no effort in taking them along in his endeavours in this respect.
Referring to the points raised by tribal elders, the Governor said, "I am very much conscious of the varying nature of the difficulties which the people of Fata are confronted with as well as the different sets of problems which the tribal people are facing and I assure you that all of the issues will be solved in an amicable way".
