The Technical and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) will send its 8,000 skilled manpower to the United Arab Emirates this year. This skilled youth will be provided to both public and private sectors. This initiative has been taken as per a vision by the Punjab chief minister to send quality skill force to Middle East," said Chairperson Irfan Qaiser Shaikh at a speech to Technical and Vocational Training Authority officers after a visit to the Arab state.
Chairman Shaikh said, "The TEVTA [Technical and Vocational Training Authority] is establishing one window set up to facilitate its pass outs for their travelling arrangements and selection procedure." He said that during the visit, business industries from Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman and Elain were addressed and that they had shown their interest to hire Pakistani manpower for their projects. The business community of Dubai and Ajman welcomed the initiatives by the TEVTA and also hosted a reception to honour TEVTA delegation headed by its chairperson.
They also suggested opening an office in the United Arab Emirates to help placement of the Pakistani youth there. The United Arab Emirates business community committed to sending their delegates after Ramazan to visit the Technical and Vocational Training Authority with their consolidate demands to get the services of our skilled manpower. United Arab Emirates Chief Operating Officer Jawad Ahmed Qureshi, General Managers Hamid Ghani Anjum and Abdul Qayum, Foreign Placement Consultant Amer Hasan were also present.
