Imran Khan to take oath on August 11
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will be taking oath as prime minister on August 11.
According to Radio Pakistan, the soon-to-be prime minister revealed shared his decision during a meeting with the newly elected members from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Islamabad on Sunday.
There already were speculations that the PTI chairman is considering taking oath before Independence Day.
On Saturday, PTI's spokesperson Naeemul Haque said that Khan was considering taking oath at a public place in Islamabad. Haque wrote on Twitter, "Imran Khan would prefer a people’s ceremony of oath taking where thousands can watch him take the oath as prime minister of Pakistan. Perhaps D-Chowk area may be the right place to do it. Let’s hope so. Will keep on updating on this.”
