A leading manufacturer of beverages and world's largest selling carbonated soft drink has provided microfinance loans to over 2,000 poor women entrepreneurs for setting up businesses under the policy of women empowerment. Industry sources told Business Recorder here on Saturday that in the field of women empowerment, Coca-Cola has partnered with the Kashf Foundation to provide microfinance loans to over 2,000 women entrepreneurs from low-income backgrounds, to set up their own businesses and generate sustainable livelihood for themselves and their families.
The success of this programme is evident from the fact that the beneficiary women entrepreneurs have already shown a minimum of 10 percent growth in their annual income in the first 2 years. This year, in 2015, the contour bottle celebrates its 100th anniversary, with the humbling thought that it is the most recognised bottle in the world, if not the most recognised of all packaging.
