Samsung’s foldable phone might be called Galaxy F instead of Galaxy X
It has long been rumored that Samsung’s upcoming foldable phone will be called ‘Galaxy X’, however, new rumors suggest that Galaxy X might be used for some other purposes, while the foldable phone might be called something else.
Reports from reliable leakers have stated that the South Korean tech giant’s soon-to-be-launched foldable phone will be called Galaxy F - probably abbreviated as ‘foldable’. Galaxy X, on the other hand, which was previously rumored to be the name for the foldable phone, will now be a phone for gamers, not foldable.
As reported by Tech Radar, Chinese reliable leaker tweeted series of tweets hinting towards Galaxy F.

Moreover, as per SamMobile, Galaxy F has previously been in rumors back in 2013 thought to be an addition to the current Galaxy S and Note flagships, however, that never happened. Now, the name has risen up again just as foldable phones are rumored to be launched next year too, indicating that Galaxy F might be those.
However, these are all speculations that shouldn’t be taken seriously. What should be more focused on is the upcoming unpacked event on August 9 by Samsung for its another much anticipated Galaxy Note 9.
