National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Monday arrested accused Khalid Saleem Marwat District Revenue Officer (BPS-18) and Samiullah Tehsildar Abbottabad who illegally allotted measuring 28 Kanal Land situated at Mauza Shahdhand Peshawar in favour of private person causing a loss of approximately 300 million to national exchequer.
During the course of inquiry it was revealed that the government land measuring 28 Kanal situated at Mauza Shahdhand Peshawar was leased out for one year to Anwar Khan. After that one Fazal Qadeem filed a suit against the said Anwar Khan and misled the court that Anwar Khan had sold the above mentioned land to him. In the affidavit submitted before the court, it was fraudulently shown that the said land is owned by Anwar Khan.
Misled by the fraudulent evidence, the Honourable Court decreed the suit ex-parte. After lapse of almost 13 years, Fazal Qadeem prepared an application to DRO/Collector Khalid Saleem Marwat to direct Sub-registrar for registration of the illegally gotten court decree. Thus with the active connivance of all accused person, state land was registered in the name of private person and loss of hundreds of million was incurred by the state. The accused persons will be produced before the Accountability Court Peshawar for obtaining their physical remand.
