Shaheed Lieutenant Colonel Iftikhar laid to rest

Shaheed Lieutenant Colonel Iftikhar Ahmad Jameel, a brave Army officer martyred in operation Zarb-e-Azb, was laid to rest in his ancestral area here with full military honour here on Wednesday. Funeral prayers of the valiant soldier was held at the Multan Garrison Sports ground. Garrison Commander Major General Hasnaat Amir Gilani, senior civil and military officers and a large number of people attended the Namaz-e-Janaza.
A wreath was laid on the grave of the brave soldier on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff. Notables of the area also laid wreath on his grave. Lieutenant Colonel Iftikhar Ahmad Jameel had joined Pakistan Army in 1997 and served the country in different positions in the armed forces. He was deputed to join operation Zarb-e-Azb and embraced Shahadat while serving the motherland.
