Two accused held; 215 cell phones seized at JIAP

Model Collectorate of Customs (MCC)-Preventive claimed to have arrested two persons and recovered 215 cell phones worth Rs 2 million at Jinnah International Airport (JIAP). According to official sources, the preventive staff intercepted a passenger at the arrival hall of JIAP; adding that he arrived from Dubai via flight EK-602 to Karachi. During his physical examination, the staff has recovered 215 cell phones worth Rs 2 million.
They said that one more person, who was said to be the man behind the smuggling of all these cell phones, had also been taken into custody on the information of detained passengers. Both persons were under custody and further investigation is underway, official sources maintained.
