Rangers have arrested the suspected murderer of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker Waqas Shah who was killed during Rangers raid at MQM headquarters Nine-Zero. According to details, the Rangers have cracked the mysterious case of Waqas Shah's murder. A man identified as Asif Ali has been taken into custody from Shohdapur area and he has confessed to the charges while in Rangers' custody.
According to Rangers' spokesperson, Asif has been working as Unit Incharge of Gulistan Johar area. The suspect has also confessed to extortion in terms of forceful fitra donation and skins of sacrificial animals. The spokesperson said that when video footage of Shah's murder hit the TV screens, Asif was summoned to Nine Zero by MQM leaders who promised to conduct a press conference in his defence but no member of the MQM Co-ordination Committee talked to the suspect.
Asif resorted to hiding in internal Sindh and grew beard. Rangers' spokesperson said that the arrested suspect wanted to paint Rangers' raid at MQM headquarters Nine-Zero with the brush of suspicion. MQM activist Waqas Shah was killed when he was protesting during Rangers raid at Nine Zero along with other party supporters.
