Urea off-take in the country showed 12 percent cumulative growth to stand at 2.3 million tons during 5MCY15. This, analysts at Taurus Securities believe, was because of stable gas supply and higher imported urea sales. Citing data issued by National Fertilizer Development Corporation, the urea off-take in May'15 clocked in at 422,000 tons, depicting three percent YoY increase. A monthly account shows this growth at 15 percent.
The sales of DAP last month were recorded at 110,000 tons, slightly up by one percent YoY. Though FFBL DAP sales declined by 10 percent, 16 percent higher imported DAP sales compensated for the drop. Cumulatively in 5MCY15, the country's DAP sales improved by four percent YoY to 363,000 tons.
