Imran Khan chooses Mianwali seat out of all five
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has decided that he will be keeping his hometown seat-Mianwali, out of all the five seats from which he contested in the general elections.
Khan contested from five constituencies across Pakistan and emerged victorious from all. The PTI chief had contested from Karachi's NA-243 constituency, Islamabad's NA-53, Bannu's NA-35, Mianwali's NA-95 and Lahore's NA-131 constituency.
The most enticing competition was seen in Lahore's constituency from where Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz's (PML-N) and former Railway Minister Saad Rafique was seen giving a tough time to Khan. However, Khan emerged as the victor in Lahore.
From Karachi, Khan faced off Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) Shehla Raza and Muttahida Qaumi Movement - Pakistan's (MQM-P) Syed Ali Raza.
From Islamabad's constituency, Khan defeated PML-N and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. From Bannu's NA-35 constituency Khan won from Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal Pakistan's candidate Akram Khan Durrani. Similarly, from Mianwali, which is Khan's home constituency, he emerged victorious by defeating PML-N's Obaidullah.
The PTI has managed to secure the most National Assembly seats in the general elections that were held on July 25 and will be forming the government in the centre.
