Fans of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are in for a treat as the much loved B-Town couple is all set to once again romance on screen, after a break of eight long years, in upcoming film 'Gulab Jamun'.

Aish and Abhishek are one of most admired power-couple in Bollywood, who have not appeared together in a film since eight years. The celebrity couple was last seen in Mani Ratnam's 2010 film 'Raavan'. 'Gulab Jamun' is director Sarvesh Mewara's forthcoming film, which will be produced by Anurag Kashyap, reported NDTV.

Confirming the news in an interview with Mid Day, Aishwarya said that since Abhishek always takes breaks after his movies, they could not sign this movie earlier as they were approached for this film nearly a year and a half back when Abhishek ended shooting 'Manmarziyan'.

As soon as the movie started coming in the limelight, she asked him to decide and that’s when he took the decision. “AB and I agreed to do 'Gulab Jamun'. I told AB that he needs to decide what he wants to do after Manmarziyaan,” she said. “It is a beautiful script, and we fit the narrative perfectly,” the actress added.

The Devdas actor even spoke about how she chooses a script when it involves both of them. “The script has to be interesting if a real-life couple is coming together. We have got many scripts and at times we got tempted too. But then, we discuss it out loud. We take stock and say, Does it excite us? Why should marriage define our choices? Shouldn’t we be actually approaching the story as individual actors?” the actress said.

The two have been busy with their individual projects in Bollywood. Aishwarya is all geared up for her next release 'Fanney Khan' on August 3, while Abhishek’s next movie is Anurag Kashyap’s 'Manmarziyan', which releases on September 14.

After doing films such as 'Kuch Naa Kaho', 'Guru', 'Umrao Jaan', 'Sarkar Raj' and 'Dhoom 2' together, the real life husband and wife are now all set to enchant their fans with the sweetness of 'Gulab Jamun'.
