Anti-Terrorism Court has charged the son of a former minister and five other accomplices for allegedly shooting a widow's teenage boy and injuring another teen after a car crash in the city's Cantonment area. The charges followed the arrest of former Foreign Affairs Minister Siddique Kanju's son, Mustafa Kanju and Alias Cheeko, by the South Cantonment Police at his hometown in Lodhran.
The police then had a case recorded against the minister's son under 7-ATA and Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code. A shooting incident followed after Kanju crashed his BMW into another car, and had Zain, aged 16, and Hussain, 17, shot, leaving the first teenager dead and the second injured.
