Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested 158 suspects in targeted raids conducted in different city neighbourhood during last 24 hours. the police said that their 86 raids and three encounters carried out as a part of Karachi operation led to the arrests of 158 alleged criminals involved in various criminal activities.
During the operations, the police arrested 11 criminals under Arms Act, 19 were arrested under Narcotics Act, 52 absconders, five dacoits; one murderer, two proclaimed offenders (POs) and some 68 others were also arrested during the said time period. Police further said that they have recovered 13 hand guns, 9, 804 gram Hashish, six gram heroin and one riffle from their possession.
