Traders and businessmen from different markets of the provincial metropolis welcoming the formation of alliance namely "Progressive and Lahore Businessmen Front Alliance" between three major opposition groups in the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) have posed their full confidence in its leadership and assured all out support in the coming election.
This assurance was extended by the traders of different important markets who gathered at an Iftaar reception hosted by the Progressive Group in honour of businessmen recently.
Participants of the reception vowed to work jointly for ensuring the protection to rights of small traders in the LCCI.
Speaking on this occasion, Progressive and Lahore Businessmen Front Alliance President Amjad Chaudhry said the Alliance would make all out efforts and give tough fight to a group of vested interests presently ruling the LCCI.
He expressed the hope that they would be successful in restoring the respect and dignity of the LCCI members and protect their rights they deserve as chamber members.
Alliance Chairman Khalid Usman said the Alliance which fought last LCCI elections with another name had good response from the members.
This year we had launched our electioneering campaign well in time and are in contact with the members of the Chamber and hopeful to turn out successful in the coming LCCI elections.
He claimed that alliance between Progressive Group and Lahore Businessmen Front and merger of Azad Group in the Front had been welcomed overwhelmingly in the provincial metropolis.-PR
