A local leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former Union Council Nazim, Shamozai, Swat, Adalat Khan was shot dead by some unknown motorcyclists. According to SHO Shamozai, the former UC Nazim was present outside his house, when some unknown motorcyclists opened fire on him.
He was injured in the attack and was rushed to Civil Hospital Barikot, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
For post-mortem, the body of the deceased was moved to Saidu Sharif Hospital.
After the incident police and security forces cordoned of the area and launched search operation.
