Witness on Monday identified Umair Siddiqui, alleged worker of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), before judicial magistrate in a Rangers' personnel murder case. The police produced Siddiqui before judicial magistrate East where an eyewitness pointed out Umair Siddiqui as a killer of ranger's personnel who was killed in 2010 in Moasmiat area of Karachi. The name of witness was kept secret for security reason.
Earlier Siddiqui remained in rangers' detention for 90-day which handed over him to police in June. According to Rangers, Siddiqui was involved in killing of as many as 120 people including the nephew of MQM's leader Amir Khan. According to Rangers' press release issued in March, the suspect, Umair Siddiqui formed a team of target-killers on the directions of MQM's Tanzeemi committee member Hammad Siddiqui. It said Umair's team of target killers murdered as many as 120 people.
