Samsung promises ‘reasonable price’ for Galaxy Note 9
Where Samsung’s latest flagship Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus comes with hefty price tags, the company is claiming for its upcoming Galaxy note 9 to have a ‘reasonable price’.
During its second quarter earnings conference call, Samsung acknowledged that its Galaxy S9 sales were not as per expectations in the second quarter and said that its Galaxy Note 9 will have a reasonable prices in order to maximize sales.
“Samsung will seek to expand sales by introducing a new Galaxy Note earlier than usual, which offers exceptional performance for a reasonable price,” the tech giant said in a statement.
Samsung’s first teaser of Galaxy Note 9 hints at larger battery
“We will also strengthen price competitiveness and actively adopt advanced technology in our mass models to aggressively respond to market condition. Offering more sophisticated specs throughout our lineup will make it difficult to maintain profitability,” ZDNet quoted KyeongTae Lee, head of Samsung’s mobile business.
Samsung is optimistic that smartphone and tablet demand will increase in the second half. However, the question here is what Samsung means by ‘reasonable price’. As per a leak, the Note 9 will be below the $1,000 mark.
Moreover, as per Trusted Reviews, in its second quarter earnings report, the company pointed out towards its foldable phones by saying that it will integrate more value-added features into its phones such as foldable displays.
The countdown for Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 has already been started with just eight days remaining to its launch. Till now Samsung has given hints about its different colored S Pen, its bigger battery life, greater storage capacity and updating phone’s slower performance.
