State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and Pakistan Customs has launched online electronic "E" form for the exporters. A training workshop was organised at Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (Reap) House to guide the exporters and Customs agents for filing of online "E" form. During the workshop Abdul Majid Yousufani, Director Reforms and Automation, Pakistan Customs and Zulfiqar Khokhar, Additional Director, State Bank of Pakistan briefed the participants about the new electronic E form.
Rafique Suleman, Chairman, Reap and members including Chela Raam, Raza Amjad, Khalid Paracha, Faisal Masood Chaudary and others also participated. Abdul Majid Yousufani said exporters were facing several issues due to manual system and some people were sending illegal goods through fake "E" forms. He said that newly develop programme was much secure and entire process would be completed online.
"Exporters can submit its 'E' form through personal computer and later the same form will be endorsed by bank from their system. In addition, this form will also be displayed on Customs' computer for further process," he informed. "We believed that newly online 'E' form system is very secure and exporters can fill this form from their office," he added. Rafique Suleman, Chairman, Reap has appreciated efforts of SBP and Customs for electronic 'E form' and urged the exporters to fill 'E form' through online system.
