Inspector General Police Balochistan, Amlish Khan have claimed to arrest all suspects including a commander of the banned outfit who were involved in sectarian and target killings of police personnel, settlers and Hazara community of Quetta. Talking to the media persons here on Wednesday, he said arrested suspects included a high profile commander of a banned militant organisation, who had also a plan to carryout suicide attack on the procession of Hazrat Ali (AS) Day during the holy month of Ramazan.
He said that law and order situation was improved and crime rate was decreased due to the efforts of Balochistan police. "We have decided to install more Close Circuit TV cameras on all important roads in Quetta city in order to control crimes and to provide security and protection to the citizens," he said. He said over 450 officials and personnel of Balochistan police had martyred in the line of duty during last few years. Amlish said that a control room has been set up at the office of DIG Quetta to monitor the law and order situation.
