On the instructions of Punjab government, Board of Revenue (BoR) Punjab has declared as many as 99 villages of district Khushab as calamity-hit. Heavy rains and hailstorm in these villages in March caused severe damage to Rabi crop, Chief Relief Commissioner Punjab Nadeem Ashraf said.
A notification has also been issued which says 31 villages of tehsil & district Khushab and 68 villages of Tehsil Noorpur have been badly affected by recent torrential rains and hailstorm; hence, farmers of these areas have been completed exempted from agriculture income tax and revenue.
