The employees of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women Development Centre (SBBWDC) Hyderabad continued their protest on consecutive third day against non-payment of their salaries. The protest was staged outside Hyderabad Press Club (HPC) on Saturday. Leading the demo, Fozia Ashraf, Ghulam Ali, Ashiq Ali and others told media that their department had not paid the salaries to them for 13 months which forced them to live miserable life.
Every year, they had to knock at the door of court for release of their salaries and after receiving direction from court, Sindh government had released their salaries, they said allegedly. Despite repeated assurances made by higher authority for releasing their salaries, they were not paid salaries and even few days have been left to celebrate the Eid but so far they could not purchase anything for their families, they said.
