Ayyan Ali granted bail

Supermodel Ayyan Ali has been granted bail by a Lahore High Court division bench. On Tuesday the bench also halted investigation into her money-laundering case. The counsel for Ayyan, Sardar Latif Khan Khosa, earlier had told the bench that customs officials had implicated her in a fake smuggling case. She has been behind the bars for the past four months The trial court and the customs appellate bench court had dismissed her bail applications. She is currently detained in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
