Apple likely to release dual-SIM iPhone

After all these years, Apple might finally be gearing up to launch a dual-SIM iPhone.

For the first time, Apple might introduce dual-SIM for its iPhones soon, as hinted in the code of newly released iOS 12 beta 5. It points at references stating ‘second SIM status’ and ‘dual SIM device’, initially spotted by 9to5Mac.

Another reference in the code mentions ‘second SIM Tray Status’, indicating that the phone will have two physical SIM card slots, instead a regular one and an e-SIM as the second. However, these references do not necessarily mean that Apple will surely launch a dual-SIM iPhone, reported Mashable.

Moreover, rumors say that the dual-SIM phone will arrive in selected markets in probably one of the three iPhones expected to be released this fall.
