Executions to resume from July 27

After remaining suspended during the holy month of Ramazan, executions in the country will begin from July 27. The Sessions Court has issued death warrants of four death row convicts Farooq alias Farooqa, Karim Nawaz alias Ramzan, Muhammad Akhtar and Nayyar Ali. Chief Minister's Advisor on Prisons Chaudhry Arshad Saeed said that Farooq and Karim Nawaz would be hanged on July 27 in Multan Central Jail, Muhamnmad Akhtar on July 28 and Nayyar Ali on July 29. Similarly death warrants of Khizar and Saeed were received by the jail authorities. They would be hanged on July 28 and 29 respectively.
