Terming the report of Judicial Commission in election rigging case as an important development for sustainability of democracy, ANP Central president Asfandyar Wali Khan demanded of the government to file a reference against PTI leadership for taking illegal, immoral and undemocratic steps for fulfilment of its unjust demands.
ANP chief said it has been proved that all the allegations of Imran Khan were fake and baseless, following release of judicial commission report. He went on to say that the real objective of PTI dharna was to derail a democratically elected government and pave way for third power. He the PTI chief should seek apology from nation for all his illegal and undemocratic steps he took for justification of his allegations, he demanded.
Everyone should honour the verdict of Judicial Commission because it is the spirit of democracy and regard of institutions, Asfandyar said in a press statement issued here on Friday.
ANP chief said final comments on Judicial Commission verdict will be given when detail report is issued however, he went on say, the allegations of rigging levelled by PTI Chief, Imran Khan have been vanish into air. Asfandyar said ANP also had reservation over 2013 elections, but we accepted polling results for the sake of strengthening of democracy in the country. He said the mode of protest adopted by PTI of holding dharna in Islamabad, attacking PTV and giving a reference of "Third Empire" was part of a conspiracy to derail democracy in the country.
The PTI protest demonstration inflicted huge economic loss to the country and postponement of visit of Chinese President to Pakistan is testimony to this fact. The months long protest demonstration of PTI created a lot of problems for trading community of the country while government machinery was used for making the show successful. He said Provincial Ministers of KP regularly visited Islamabad and participated in demonstration instead of concentrating on public concerning issues.
