Leader of Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah has said that after the report of Judicial Commission, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government must show humility. "Things can take an ugly turn any time hence the government must move ahead in positive manner. Pakistan People's Party (PPP) played a proactive role during Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) sit in front of parliament to save democratic system and to strengthen democratic institutions," the Opposition Leader said while addressing a news conference on Friday.
Answering to a question, he said that the political parties must behave wisely and they should not become part of conspiracy being hatched to derail democratic dispensation. He said that both Imran Khan and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have accepted the Judicial Commission verdict with open heart. This is good omen for the country, now we must move ahead with renewed vigor. We were also party to the rigging allegation along with Imran Khan but we accept the finding of Judicial Commission, he said.
The Opposition Leader said that the report should be placed before the Parliament for discussion. He said that all the political parties in general and PTI in particular must contribute for electoral reforms for free, fair and transparent elections in the country. He said that PPP leadership is leaving for Chitral today (Saturday) to show solidarity with flood affected people and to give them moral and material support. He said that floods have wreaked havoc in Punjab and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif should concentrate on the rehabilitation of flood affectees.
