A delegation from the National Engineering Services Pakistan (NESPAK) has visited to London to further augment its operations there. Company Managing Director Amjad Khan spearheaded the delegation. A company spokesman said on Friday the team during visit held a string of meetings with the top brass of 15 firms having expertise in airport master planning and design, security equipment and metro train projects.
The meetings were also attended by High Commissioner of Pakistan Syed Ibne Abbas and Baroness Nosheena Mobarik. An introductory session was held in the House of Lords where the company's capabilities in various fields of engineering were highlighted. The possibility of Britain's foreign direct investment on projects in Pakistan also came under discussion during the visit to the offices of the Watteau Holding Group.
During an interaction with the company's officials, PILGRIM Group Adviser Sir David Veness, a world renowned counter-terrorism expert, gave a presentation on security-related equipment required by law enforcers. Brainstorming sessions were held with representatives of top-notch British companies. An important panel discussion session with reference to airport expansion projects also took place with the top executives of the British Aviation Group, which is a consortium of seasoned companies dealing with the airport projects.
There were also discussions with British based consultants for the possibilities of cooperation on projects in Britain and other countries to help create new job opportunities for Pakistani professionals. The foreign consultants fancied the company's services and showed the desire to work with the company on a joint venture mode and/or on outsourcing basis.
