Provincial Minister for Labour and Human Resource Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has said that there are vast prospects of investment and cooperation under public-private partnership (PPP) between Chinese province Jin Lin and Punjab in different sectors including agriculture, livestock, auto industry, railway, energy.
On the invitation of Chief Minister of Jin Lin province Bayan Qolo, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will soon visit Jin Lin for setting up of practicable working relationship between the two provinces. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of special committee constituted by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for the promotion of working relationship between Jin Lin and Punjab provinces in different sectors.
Advisor to Chief Minister Khawaja Ahmed Hasaan, Chairman Punjab Board of Investment and Trade Abdul Basit, Special Secretary Agriculture Gulzar H Shah, Secretary Coordination to CM Nadeem Mehboob, Member PPP Cell Planning and Development Agha Waqar Javed, Director Punjab Information Technology Board Saima Sheikh, Atta Ullah Tarar and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
Sarwar said that Jin Lin province has special expertise in automobile, railways, metro train, auto manufacturing, agriculture and livestock sectors. He said that Jin Lin province has played an important role in up-gradation of railways system in developed countries like Brazil and America as well as bullet train in China. He said that briefing will be given to Chinese authorities regarding transport, metro bus, orange line train, infrastructure and other projects of Punjab and dialogues will be held for promotion of investment, economic and trade corporation and enhancing collaboration in various sectors.
He added that there is a conducive atmosphere for investment in Pakistan especially in Punjab and Punjab government is providing foolproof security to Chinese engineers, experts and workers working on different mega projects. He said that the expected visit of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif to Jin Lin will pave the way for further expanding economic and trade relations between the two provinces.
