Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA) in its emergent meeting held on Wednesday unanimously resolved to reject the new law to curb substandard and spurious drug from the province. The meeting, chaired by Chairman Ijaz Ahmed Siddiqui, warned that harassing licensed drug manufactures would be "a great mistake" on the part of the Punjab government since it argued that all stakeholders had rejected the legislation.
Pakistan Industrial and Traders Association Front Vice Chairman Khawaja Shahzeb Akram said that the government never took the stakeholders on board before introducing the legislation.
