Pakistan's largest private foundation, the Aman Foundation launched Shajar-e-Aman, its tree plantation campaign for a greener Karachi with a ceremony at Karachi's Hill Park. Shoaib Siddiqui, Administrator, Karachi and Niaz Soomro, D.G. Parks and Horticulture inaugurated Aman's tree plantation drive at Karachi's Hill Park. 2,000 trees were planted by Aman members and invited guests in the barren portions of Karachi's Hill Park.
Shoaib Siddiqui, Administrator Karachi, added: "I commend Aman Foundation's launching of the "Shajar-e-Aman" campaign today and fully support them in this noble endeavour, as we have done today here at Hill Park. Trees, Parks and a healthy environment are critical to the well-being of our city. A healthy environment benefits our people by removing pollution in the atmosphere, and creating a happier and healthier citizenry.-PR
