The Indian Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan was called in by the Director General (SA& SAARC) on Friday and a protest was lodged against the decision of the Indian National Investigation Agency not to contest the bail granted to Swami Aseeman. A statement issued here by the Foreign Office said that the government of Pakistan has serious reservations on the efficiency of the Court in processing and disposal of cases regarding terrorism, especially those involving deaths of Pakistani citizens.
The Samjhauta Express, one of the two active rail links between Pakistan and India, was bombed in February, 2007. No action has been taken by the Indian authorities against the mastermind and perpetrator of this dastardly attack.
It said that the government of Pakistan expects India to take steps to bring to justice all those involved in the heinous act of terrorism on the Samjhauta Express, in which 42 Pakistani innocent citizens lost their lives. Meanwhile, the Indian High Commissioner also called on Sartaj Aziz, adviser to the prime minister on national security and foreign affairs. He was informed that the adviser would lead the Pakistan delegation for talks with the national security adviser of India on 23-24 August 2015.
