Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Sunday strongly condemned the terrorist blast at the Dera of Punjab Home Minister Shuja Khanzada in his native village Shadi Khan district Attock and termed it a naked aggression against mankind. The terrorists have no caste and creed and the government was making strenuous efforts for weeding out the menace terrorism from gross roots level for converting the country into safe heaven, he said.
Talking to Business Recorder the Defence Minister reiterated that terrorism will be routed out with active support of the people in the country adding that some elements were trying to sabotage the development process initiated by the government through their malicious activities.
Pak Army was carrying Zarb-e-Azb operation for the elimination of terrorists and this operation was successfully underway and will be continued till the weeding out terrorists completely he said. The Defence Minister further stated that Pak Army was rendering laudable service in purging the terrorists and dis-mantling their hideouts successfully adding that operation will be continued till the complete elimination of terrorists from the country.
The whole nation was backing the operation launched against terrorism just for the peace and edging out the possibilities of terrorists activities across the country on permanent basis, Asif said.
On this occasion he urged upon the people to forge complete unity among the ranks and keep vigilant eye on suspected persons in and close to their areas. We can defeat the enemies of humanity and the country with unity and the under the prevailing circumstances the unity had become more imperative for the complete elimination of terrorists activities as well as for restoring complete peace across the country Asif said.
