Total turnover of the index was 186,293,100 shares. Top trading company among BRIndex30 companies was K-Electric with volume of 37,985,500 shares. K-Electric was also the top trading company of KSE-All Share index. All 30 companies of BRIndex30 recorded negative closings.
Among BR Sector Indices, BR Power Generation Index was the highest performing sector by volume with turnover of 50,711,500 shares. Most of the index volume was contributed by K-Electric. Index itself closed at 6,795.35 points, which was 167.08 points lower than last day's close. Index remained negative throughout the trading time like all other indices.
The second highest performing index by volume was BR Cement with total turnover of 48,542,800 shares. Major traded companies in this sector from highest to lowest were Dewan Cement, Fauji Cement and D G Khan Cement. Index closed at 5,167.29 points with net change of -146.77. Third second highest performing index by volume was BR Commercial Banks Index with total turnover of 35,215,000 shares. Major traded companies in this sector from highest to lowest were Silk Bank, Bank of Punjab and NIB bank. Index closed at 7,346.29 points with net change of -135.52.
