Three PIA staff members removed

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Friday claimed to have removed three staff members over their alleged involvement in the issuance of unauthorised boarding cards to passengers. According to PIA official, the management has demonstrated zero tolerance towards corrupt officials. He said that management had found the involvement of these staff members in the issuance of unauthorised boarding cards to passengers.
Consequently, a punitive measure has been taken against these officials. The dismissed officials are Hammed Butt, senior pax service officer, Asif Arzani Khan, Reservation and Ticketing officer, and Ms Sumaira Yasmin, check-in staff. He said that both male officials were taken into custody while Sumaira was granted bail. They had processed passenger Muhammad Akram through check-in formalities at Lahore airport on a Toronto-bound PIA flight.
