The Emirates Cricket Board has sought from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) dates for the proposed Pakistan-India series likely to be held in December.
The Emirates Board officials have reportedly asked Najam Sethi, head of PCB Executive Committee, about the dates. Sethi is currently on a visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar.
The UAE is expected to host a series against Zimbabwe in December and the board wants to avoid any clash on venues for matches to be played under the two series.
A PCB official told APP Sunday that said he was not aware of the development. Najam Sethi was in the UAE at the beginning of this week and any discussion in this regard, if any, with the Emirates Board officials would be known on his return, he added.
As regards the Pak-India series, he said, "Dates on our parts are finalised. The series will begin in mid December and continue till January. The ball is in India's court, which has yet to give a green signal."
It may be added that a PCB delegation headed by Najam Sethi is in Doha, Qatar, in connection with the proposed Pakistan Super League (PSL) scheduled for next year.
