President International Cricket Council Zaheer Abbas on Monday said that use of pink cricket ball was actively under consideration and hopefully it will be used in cricket matches. Talking to Business Recorder at Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) the ICC President further stated that day and night five day cricket matches would be played to facilitate the cricket fans enabling to witness the matches along with their families in the evening.
Earlier, addressing the members of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) he stressed upon the vibrant business community of Sialkot to focus attention the construction of a "Five Star" hotel in this export-oriented city and hub of cottage industry for ensuring modern accommodation facilities to foreign customers and foreign cricket teams. He lauded the efforts of business community of Sialkot for the construction of Sialkot International Airport on self-help basis and termed it a unique precedent for others.
The ICC President further stated that Sialkot is globally known for its quality products and craftsmanship adding Sialkot is also my identity. In his address of welcome President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Fazal Jilani said that the construction of a five star hotel near Sialkot International Airport was under consideration and hopefully work on this mega project would be carried out in near future. The SCCI President informed the house that private sector of Sialkot would launch its own Sial Airline in middle of next year adding that step was being taken to provide inexpensive travelling facilitates to general public and business community of Sialkot and its adjoining areas.
