On Tuesday, BRIndex30 recovered and after remaining positive throughout the trading time except for a few minutes of red during first hour of trading, it closed at 21,178.72 points with net change of 1053.21 points. In the last two hours index displayed a rising trend. Total turnover was 246,495,000 with K-electric again being the leader by volume among BRIndex30 and All Share companies with 44,575,500 shares. BRIndex30 touched a high of 21,206.25 and low of 20,083.72 during trading time.
Among BR Sector Indices, BR Power Generation was the leading index by volume with a total turnover of 60,194,000 shares. K-electric contributed 74 percent of index volume. Index itself remained positive with a rising trend closing at 6,768.06 points with net change of 417.41 points. Second highest BR Sector Index by volume was BR Commercial Banks Index with a total turnover of 45,734,800 shares. Notable companies by volume were Askari Bank, Bank of Punjab and Faysal Bank. This index also remained positive with a rising trend and closed at 7,215.90 points with net change of 138.56points.
Third highest BR Sector Index by volume was BR Investment Banks Index with a turnover of 37,129,000 shares. Most of this volume was contributed by Jahangir Siddiqui & Co whose turnover was 32,039,000 shares. Index itself remained red for most of trading time and became positive near the last trading hour. It closed at 104.89 points with net change of 2.22 points.
