The testimony of US lobbyist Mark Siegel against former president and army chief Pervez Musharraf in the Benazir Bhutto murder case has been delayed till October. Siegel was scheduled to record statement before Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi on Wednesday (today) for which Rawalpindi administration had finalised arrangements for a video conferencing at the commissioner's office.
However, the district administration on Tuesday received an e-mail from the Pakistan embassy in Washington regarding the inability of Siegel to appear before the ATC on Wednesday, the District Co-ordination Officer (DCO) Rawalpindi Sajid Zafar Dall said. The embassy said that Mark Siegel is undergoing surgery and is not available for recording of statement on August 26, he said adding that he would appear sometime after October 1. After getting the information in the matter the DCO conveyed the same to the ATC Judge Rai Mohammad Ayub Marth.
