A delegation from the Chinese Jihua Group led by Nabila Intisar, Director and Chief Executive Waleed Tech (Pvt) Ltd, visited the Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) on Monday and held talks. Other delegates included Mark Yen (Application Engineer), Charles Lu (Sales Manager) and Cherry Xu (Overseas Market). The purpose of the meeting was to know and discuss the modalities of establishing a manufacturing plant of H-acid in Punjab.
PBIT Chief Executive Officer Habib Gillani gave a brief presentation about the main features of the investment and tax policies of Pakistan as well as mentioned potential projects for investment. In addition to this, he also extended support to the delegation. Turkey Cell Head Haroon Shaukat also added that this is the high time for the Chinese companies to enter Pakistan as the Chinese president has also stated that China will be investing $45 billion over the next seven years.
Secondly, because of the Pakistan's strategic location, trade with the emerging economies like India, China, and Russia is not difficult. Therefore, they can have easy access to other markets as well, he mentioned. Jihua Group is a part of the China Dyestuff Industry Association, one of the top 500 of Chinese private enterprises, one of the biggest exporter and manufacturer of H-acid and one of the companies globally recognised for dyestuffs.
