The Managing Director of SSGC, Khalid Rahman addressed the staff members to apprise them of the situation developing in the Company after some of its senior officials were apprehended by the law enforcement agencies. The MD informed his team that the agencies are currently making enquiries and no charges have so far been levelled against any officer of the Company.
The MD stressed that SSGC has zero-tolerance against the wrong doers and added that the Company is fully cooperating with the law enforcement agencies in carrying out their enquiries. The MD advised the Company officers not to believe in hearsay or engage in rumour mongering and instead perform their duties in normal, business as usual mode. It was observed at the meeting that some sections of the print and electronic media have been printing or putting on air, news content that is based totally on conjectures and not facts. The staff expressed deep concerns at this type of reporting. It must be understood that SSGC is an important public sector organisation which is currently engaged in major energy projects of strategic nature and whose people are involved in providing 24/7 public service.-PR
